Community Service
The Service and Youth Projects Committee under the Chair of Rotarian Susan Rodber looks after the local community needs. This Committee is constantly looking for new activities that we can undertake.
Each year we, together with the Rotary Club of Alton, take part in Kids Out when approximately
50 pupils from Hollywater School in Bordon are taken to Paultons Park where we meet with some 1300 special
needs children for a marvellous day out. I am not sure who enloys it the most, the children or the Rotarians seeing the joy on their faces.

Each summer we take about 40 Senior Citizens from Petersfield for a trip to Hill Head on the coast where they enjoy a tea, plenty of chat and a walk or sit in the sun. If there is no sun then a Rotarian has to learn how to be a bingo caller!!
Just some of the workers!
For several years now we have been holding Stroke Awareness Days where Rotarians, with the assistance of a nurse, take the public's blood pressure.
We have in this way identified several people with high blood pressure and been able to advise them to visit their doctor.
Additionally this year we have been asked to do another day in a local village centre.
CAB Garden. Several years ago Rotary built a garden at the CAB, Petersfield and each year we attend to carry out maintenance
